Maureen Bujno
Maureen is the Audit & Assurance Governance Leader, leading the governance offerings for many of Deloitte’s most significant and complex audit clients. She facilitates client board labs for new board and audit committee members as well as transitions board members taking on board or committee leadership roles. She was instrumental in the development of Deloitte’s Center for Board Effectiveness and has led many of its activities including the development of research and thought leadership and director programming. In 2016, 2017 and 2018, Maureen was recognized by NACD Directorship magazine as one of the top 100 influential professionals in corporate governance and in the boardroom.
Maureen has over 30 years of business experience with Deloitte. Prior to leading the development of the Center for Board Effectiveness, Maureen worked in the Merger and Acquisition Services group and the Audit practice.
Maureen is a member of the Advisory Board of the University of Delaware Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance and a member of the Council of Institutional Investors Markets Advisory Council. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, and the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals (SCSGP), and former Assistant Treasurer of the SCSGP. Maureen is former President and ex-officio member of the Fairfield University Alumni Association and board of directors. She is also a former member of the board of directors of the YMCA, West Side, New York City. Maureen is a CPA in New York and a member of the AICPA. Maureen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fairfield University.
